Speculoos cookies

Most people round the world might know these cookies as the airline cookie, but they hold a dearer place in the hearts of the Belgians and the Belgian cuisine. Mostly made to celebrate the 'St Nicholas day’ feast, these spiced shortbread cookies can be found in the most beautiful sizes and designs.

They can be eaten alone or be used to flavor up some secret recipes, you will have to ask a Belgian what kinds of secrets they got in store. There is even a Speculoos paste to spread on your bread.
