Stoemp or mashed potatoes 2.0

When you think about Belgian food you probably think about chocolate and waffles. You wouldn't think about something so simple and delicious as stoemp. Stoemp meaning something like smashed together is a typical Belgian winter dish. If you think mashed potatoes are good, just wait till you try stoemp. They’re the creamiest potatoes you’ve ever had because sometimes butter or milk is added together with carrots, spinage or leeks.

The dish is served very hot with a big sausage and a meat sauce. Traditionally you are supposed to make a little crator in your stoemp to make sure the sause issent dripping of your plate.
