The Korenmarkt is a square in the center city of Ghent. The square is located between the Sint-Niklaas church and the river Leie. It is coincided one of the most beautiful places in the world.
The square was formerly called Koornaard and was in the 10th and 11th century the place where imported grain that was traded. Korenmarkt is Flemish for corn market.
The square is surrounded by various historic buildings and is now an important tourist square with cafés and terraces in the historic center of the city. It is a must visit on your trip to Ghent.
